Welcome to the Barrie Gun Club Website

The Barrie Gun Club is one of the premiere Multi-Discipline Gun Clubs in Canada.  Established at the present location in Springwater Township, just east of Barrie, in 1946, we offer a wide variety of shooting disciplines. On our shotgun fields, we offer trap, skeet and 5 stand.  Our air conditioned HEPA filtered 10 position indoor range provides an excellent opportunity to shoot handgun, air rifle and pistol calibre long guns.  Recently, in co-operation with the office of the Chief Firearms Officer for Ontario, we have made some modifications to our outdoor ranges. This enables us to continue to hold IPSC, PPC, and Cowboy Action competitions as well as regular rifle competitions on our 6 outdoor ranges.  Several of our members compete in various competitions locally, Provincially, Nationally and Internationally. The skill and discipline of our members is recognized throughout the world. Our focus on safety, discipline and safety training ensures that our safety record is one to be envied by any sporting facility.

The Barrie Gun Club also offers a high quality junior program in archery and air rifle, where young people from as young as seven are instructed in mental concentration, discipline and safety, so that the handling of archery and firearms equipment is second nature.  Many adults also accompany our juniors on our 3D archery par cours that winds around our property.

We are a member owned and operated facility that provides an excellent opportunity for firearms aficionados to enjoy their sport in a safe and well run facility. We are a member of the National Shooting Sports Federation and the National Association of Shooting Ranges.  The opening of our state-of-the-art 5-Stand Sporting Clays course was made possible through a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
